BlackBoard – Strengthening foot muscles and calves
Strengthen the deep foot muscles and superficial calf muscles with the BlackBoard rocker.
Strengthening
Place the contralateral leg slightly elevated, for example on a chair. Shift your entire weight onto the leg performing the exercise. Lift your heel off the ground and shift your weight onto the ball of your foot. With your hip extended, push yourself as far away from the ground as possible.
Please note: The knee should remain slightly unlocked throughout the exercise to optimally strengthen the stabilizing muscles.
